Thistlemine (Demo v0.3.2 / November 2021)

A game about Excavators going into an exclusion zone to find artifacts and eradicate the Anomalis—creatures mutated by a widespread miasma.

The demo consists of three main puzzle areas:

• The Boundary (tutorial area)
• Stairs and Tulips
• Doors and Daisies

Each area contains a large navigation puzzle and a handful of combat puzzles. Depending on the route the player takes, combat dynamics change, and may demand new strategies.

There are three routes in the demo:

• Normal Route
• Solo Route
• Alternate Route

The solo and alternate routes may require a new game, depending on the player's post-tutorial resources. Difficulty may be too high for those inexperienced with JRPG mechanics. Hints and cheese are options available for those that need them, but they won't provide the happy brain chemicals from finding a cool combination of attacks.
